Featured project: Video scripting for U.S. Bank
While working as an assistant editor at MSP-C, I wrote a LOT of video scripts. One of my favorite projects was creating a suite of short videos on personal finance topics for U.S. Bank.
U.S. Bank wanted to use video to increase engagement and drive action on their site and social channels—starting with a series on personal finance. I was the sole writer for the project (and, at the time, the agency’s first video script writer). I researched and wrote scripts for 18 short videos, breaking down topics like mortgage refinancing and credit card debt in an engaging, approachable way. I collaborated closely with my editor, art director, and videographers/motion designers to bring the concepts to life.
As a writer, the project taught me a lot about how to think beyond words and consider how visuals (data, graphics, images) can help users connect with content.
